Ecotracker randomly dropping out

Dear community,
my ecotracker IR has been installed since about 6 weeks, things ran smoothly so far, until I started noticing dropouts since a few days. Every now and then, my Ecotracker stops sending data for a few seconds, minutes or even hours, for no apparent reason.
It remains visible within my wireless local network, showing -55 ~ -56 dbm signal strength. I also tried accessing the JSON-data over my browser, which doesn’t work as long as the dropout lasts. However, the ecotracker itself appears to be accessable. Disconnecting its power in order for it to “restart” also doesn’t change things.
I have no events or see any other reasons as to why these dropouts start/end. Firmware is 2.0.19, I’ve set the IP-address within my network as fixed.
Possibly a little of topic, but it would be cool if the ecotracker could be set to use no cloud-connection and keep things within the local network, maybe check for firmware updates but that’s about it. If I want to access my ecotracker while travelling, I just use a VPN.
